So I had another birthday. Those darn things just keep coming! But I didn’t mind so much because I had some awesome celebrations! So Christmas is my actual birthday. On that day my sweet daughter woke me up with kisses and by whispering ‘happy birthday’ in my ear. So cute. And everyone was so sweet, wishing me happy birthday all day long. plus my day had started with biscuits and gravy…a present from Amanda and David. My favorite breakfast! Oh and I should mention that Adrian had actually bought me some fabulous boots on Black Friday as my birthday present!
We actually celebrated my birthday on Monday, the day after Christmas. This is when everyone was able to be together. We started the day over at Amanda’s. I had brought some vinyl sayings with me so we picked up some wood and spray paint and spent the morning making some fun signs! A craft day is always good with me.
While we were crafting the kids were all playing on Amanda’s family’s new Kinect. It was hilarious to watch Mackenzie jumping up and down. The boys all went to the movies to see the new Mission: Impossible. When we and they were done we met up in the Dells to go to the Ripley’s Believe It or Not museum, but I’ll save that for a separate post because I have so many pictures for it.
That night everyone got together for some birthday awesomeness. I decided I wanted pizza as my birthday dinner so we got some yummy Pizza Hut delivered. We ate until we were all completely stuffed.
Then it was present time!
Art and Mary Jo got me Packers and Wisconsin ornaments for our tree. I’m so excited to put them out next year!
Boots from my brother! I love them!
The Deardens got me a laminator! Pretty excited. I’ve already used it to make labels for our now organized garage and pantry (nesting much?)
After I opened presents (including a gift from Eva and a couple of gift cards from Mary and Becca) our food had settled enough for cake! I requested Better Than Sex cake, though it’s referred to as Better Than Anything cake in their family.
What a fun birthday! To be honest I wasn’t expecting much since Grandma’s 90th birthday was this year and 27 just seems so insignificant compared to that. But of course my in-laws made it awesome! Thanks everyone!
