This year Adrian and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. Sometimes I can’t believe it’s already been 5 years. I mean, where has the time gone? Weren’t we just getting married?
To celebrate Adrian planned a very special day for us (we take turns planning). I don’t have any pictures from the day, sorry. We started by dropping Mackenzie off at Becca’s. Then after picking up our trampoline at Mary’s (Becca had gotten it for us at Walmart on Black Friday..score!) we headed to the Dells for some lunch. We decided to go Pizza Pub because that’s where our niece Ashley works. We knew we wouldn’t be seeing her again before we left so we wanted to make sure to see her on last time and say goodbye.
After lunch we drove down to Madison. Adrian had a surprise planned for us, but apparently we were early for it so we walked around the mall some. Man I can’t wait until I can buy some normal clothes again! There were so many good sales! Then we still had some time to kill so we drove up the street to the capitol and drove around that. Like most other capitols it was gorgeous.
Then it was time for our surprise! Adrian had booked a couples massage for us! Prenatal for me of course. I was so super excited. I’ve only had one professional massage before and it was great. Adrian had never had one. Both of our massages were excellent. They didn’t have a prenatal table so they had me lay on my side all cushioned with pillows. It was just what this aching pregnancy body needed. Very sweet and thoughtful of Adrian.
After that we headed across the street to Red Lobster for dinner. I was so proud of myself because I ate an entire Ultimate Feast in one sitting! Considering my stomach is all squished by the baby that is quite the feat. It was all delicious.
We then picked up a movie (Crazy Stupid Love) and headed to his Aunt Mary Lou’s cabin. They are always so generous and let us stay there when we want. The movie was so hilarious!
We both slept so well that night considering we didn’t have to share a room with Mackenzie (news flash: apparently she talks in her sleep! Like full on sentences! One night she asked Adrian what he wanted for Christmas, another time she exclaimed that Daddy had turned into a dragon, and so much more!).
Then it was back to Becca’s for our last day in Wisconsin. More on that later.
I am so grateful for these past 5 years. I am so lucky to be married to Adrian. He is so kind and funny and supportive and considerate. I could go on and on. He is a wonderful husband and father. Each day I fall more and more in love with him. These past 5 years have brought so much change to our lives and I am so grateful to have been with him for those changes. I look forward to what the next 5 years have for us and eternity after that!
I love my family!
